Under the Waves follows professional diver Stan as he retreats into the depths of the North Sea in a techno-futuristic 1970s, seeking isolation while grappling with profound personal loss. Piloting his submarine through abyssal environments and submerged cave systems, players experience a psychologically charged journey where reality fractures under the weight of grief, memory, and guilt.
Working alongside Parallel Studio and Quantic Dream, Side delivered end-to-end localization support to bring Stan’s story to a global audience. Our work spanned localized audio including casting, recording, directing, and post-production for French, German, and Simplified Chinese, alongside full localization and localization QA coverage across a whopping 10 and 21 languages, respectively. Post-launch player support was provided by our team as well, ensuring every player received the quickest and highest-quality support, regardless of language or time zone.
